Vineyards

Linden Vineyards
Linden, VA
(540) 364-1997

You won’t walk in on a wedding at this place -- it’s all about the wine.  The location is a high mountain ridge with dramatic views.  The name of one of their wines, “Hardscrabble” gives a clue as to the terroir.  Open Wednesday through Sunday, April through October; weekends only through the winter.  Closed some holidays

Naked Mountain Vineyard
Markham, VA
(540) 364-1609

Home of our favorite Chardonnay and those wonderful winter weekend Lasagna Lunches.  Great views from the tasting room and deck.  Open daily March through December; weekends only through January and February.  Closed some holidays.

Rappahannock Cellars
Huntly, VA
(540) 635-9398

Conveniently located on the way back from a day of hiking/driving in the Shenandoah National Park, this friendly spot boasts innovative state of the art winemaking, transplanted to Virginia from California.  Open daily, year round.

Fox Meadow Vineyard

The newest and most welcome addition to the growing Shenandoah Valley Vineyards list. Some very fine wines in a gorgeous setting. Tastings include cheese pairings, a real treat.
