Delicious Blue Wing Frog Picnic Menu

You’ve got to love a restaurant with a menu that changes daily! Think of all the work that goes into preparing different complex dishes each day. That means there is a stellar chef mastermind behind the stove, preparing your meals! Not only is there a wonderful menu, but the staff at Blue Wing Frog will pack up a picnic lunch for you before you head out on some hiking adventures. Enjoy cute packaging as well as some delicious options that will satisfy after a long hike! Trust us- this isn’t your traditional picnic cuisine! The June 1 menu includes the following, which can serve as a guide to future options during your visit.

Appetizers: The June 1 menu at Blue Wing Frog includes appetizers such as a Mushroom Pate with thyme, oregano, cream cheese, goat cheese, sweet shallots, white wine, butter, and mushrooms. There is also a Fruit and Cheese Munch with artisan cheeses, Blue Wing Frog’s own herb and goat cheese dip, fresh and dried fruit, and handmade bread.

Sandwiches: RK’s Famous Skrimp Po’Boy on a toasted challah roll with lettuce, tomato, homemade chipotle remoulade, and a side of pasta salad tops the sandwich list. The Apple Chicken Salad Sandwich with herb roasted chicken, apples, dried cranberries, jicama, and celery served on oatmeal fruit bread with lettuce, sliced apples, and a side of pasta salad doesn’t sound too bad either! You can also get a “Grown Up” Peanut Butter Sandwich at Blue Wing Frog with a housemade peanut butter, local wildflower honey, pepitas, craisins, walnuts, and sliced apple served with a side of honey vanilla cinnamon Greek yogurt.

Soups & Entrees: The Gazpacho Soup will serve as a nice warm-up for Robert’s Famous “Skrimp” Dinner with a half pound of marinated shrimp served with sauteed vegetables, organic brown rice, and quinoa pilaf. The Pomegranate Chicken and Grilled Salmon don’t sound like bad options either!

Salads: From a Pomegranate Chicken Salad served on a bed of organic spring mix with cucumber, tomatoes, and pomegranate and fresh herb marinade to the Salmon Salad with shredded grilled salmon tossed with fresh lemon juice, parsley, dill, capers, celery, mayo, and avocado, these green options will keep you satisfied. Is your mouth watering yet?

Desserts: How about dessert? Don’t forget to try the Blue Wing Frog Banana Espresso Cake with coffee cream cheese icing, Pineapple Carrot Cake with pineapple filling, or Kat Cake with raspberry filling and fudge frosting.
