Here are just a few things you will enjoy during your visit to Glen Manor Vineyards.

Glen Manor Vineyards History

The history of Glen Manor Vineyards begins back in 1995 when the original six-acre plot was established. However, the property was first purchased all the way back in 1901 with the first generation to live and farm on the land. The establishment in the 1990s began with a descendant of the original occupants, the Lawsons. Jeffrey Raymond comes from a long line of Lawsons, who began by growing wheat and corn in the lower fertile fields of the farm and then expanded to plant apple and pear orchards, which are still used today. The farm worked its way down the ancestral ladder until Jeffrey envisioned the project that is today Glen Manor Vineyards.

In 2006, a new vineyard was created, beginning with an expansion to the northeast. A fresh site was cleared, with a ravine running between the two vineyard areas and providing a water source. The new site featured 25 acres of steep slopes and deep, rocky soils. In 2007, the winery was constructed to complement the existing farm and countryside. Then, In 2008, four acres of vineyards were established on the plateau and southern slopes. The featured grapes planted were Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Then, the following year, an additional four-and-a-half acres were planted of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Now, the current Glen Manor Vineyards span the entire extensive area in the unique glen among the 1,400 to 3,400 foot high mountains.
