Valerie Hill Winery offers $9 daily wine tastings perfect for you and your special someone to enjoy on a romantic date night. Enjoy a glass of award-winning wine as well as a lite fare menu with special weekend food offerings. Be sure to visit between 11am and 6pm from Monday through Thursday, with varying weekend closing times.

What You Need to Know About the Wine

From the first Valerie Hill wines bottled five years ago to current vintages aging in French oak barrels, delicious wines await! Valerie Hill Winery grows local grapes, thus creating flavors enhanced by the Virginia terroir. Discover classic reds, bold and rustic Petit Berdot, elegant Chardonnay, and smooth Merlot, among other delicious blends. Bordeaux-style blends display Valerie Hill’s winemaking artistry, while local fermented grapes are authentic to the landscape and soil.

Live Music & Special Events

There is often live music and entertainment at Valerie Hill Winery, especially on the weekends. Stay out late on Friday night and enjoy a performance by a local musician along with your tasting. Other special events occur throughout the year at Valerie Hill, including History & Hauntings, a unique event available on multiple dates.

Is Valerie Hill Winery Haunted?

The History & Hauntings event is a unique telling of the haunted history of the Valerie Hill manor house. Spanning two centuries, the life of the Valerie Hill manor house comes with a haunted past. Many paranormal sightings and inexplicable noises have been viewed, heard, and documented throughout the house. These include a woman in the cellar calling for help and the spirit of a boy locked in an attic room. History & Hauntings includes the telling of these paranormal activities, as well as a buffet dinner, glass of wine of your choice, and candlelit tour of the manor house.
