About the Virginia Herb Festival

The main events during this yearly fest are beer tastings, local chef demonstrations, live music, and vendors. The goal of this festival is to bring a fun event to the area centered around herbs and agriculture. Admission is just $5 for the whole weekend. Herbs at the Virginia Herb Festival
The Virginia Herb Festival is put on every year by the Sunflower Cottage Herb Farm. During the festival, this garden center transforms. You’ll find 4 acres filled with vendors, presentation areas, and concert stages. The main part of the festival, however, is the agricultural aspect. You can purchase fresh herbs at as well as products made with herbs. Get all the plants you need to start your own herb garden or purchase homemade soaps, essential oils, and more. There are also gardening demonstrations that will teach you everything you need to know about growing!
Beers at the Virginia Herb Festival
The Sunflower Cottage Herb Farm has a local brewery on sight called the Backroom Brewery. They always experiment with their brews; they grow all of their own hops and ingredients. During the Virginia Herb Festival, they release new flavors for guests to taste. Beer tastings cost $20 and are only available to the first 200 attendees, so make sure you get there early enough to purchase a ticket! Past flavors have included Lavender Honey Blonde Ale, Lemon Thyme Saison, Peppermint Stout, and more.
