Winemakers Brian Roeder and his wife came up with the idea for Barrel Oak Winery during a vacation in Key West, FL. Before they even began the design process, they knew they wanted to create a place that was more than just a winery. They wanted it to be a place centered around the idea of community. The doors of Barrel Oak Winery opened in Delaplane, VA in 2008 and welcomed people from all walks of life, including children and dogs!
