More About the Shenandoah Valley Apple Harvest Festival

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Winchester, the Shenandoah Valley Apple Harvest Festival is one of our area’s most popular fall events with an approximate attendance level of 7,500. There will also be nearly 150 artisans and crafters in attendance that will offer their best products and creations directly to you. This is a great opportunity to find unique gifts and souvenirs including pencil drawings, hand spun Alpaca wool, handmade jewelry, and hand-blown glass.

Of course, what is an apple festival without apple treats? Pick up your free apple at the Apple Theme Booth, where dozens of varieties of locally-grown apples are on display. There will also be plenty of fresh apple cider, apple pie, and apple butter making opportunities. Here are some other apple festival activities that aren’t to be missed:

  • Apple Pie Eating Contest
  • Craft Beer and Hard Cider Tastings
  • Blue Ridge Dog Training Agility Course
  • Antique Car and Truck Show
  • Bingo Under the Pavilion
  • Live Music Performances by Mojo Mothership, Robbie Limon Band, Jimmy Lee, and others!

The even donates collected proceeds to local charities at the end of the festival. This year, they’re expecting to donate almost $60,000! Be sure you’re in town September 15th-16th to partake in all the fun!
