About Mindfulness Retreats and Workshops:
The Inn at Vaucluse Spring is excited to announce our next set of monthly Introduction to Mindfulness workshops along with some new offerings with specialty focus areas. Whether you are wanting to decrease stress or simply invite more joy and meaning into life, mindfulness is a powerful tool that we can all cultivate with practice.
We truly can retrain our brains to find more peace, ease, and innate wisdom. These experiential workshops will introduce you to key concepts of mindfulness, stress reduction, and specific techniques to establish and deepen your practice. Class size is limited due to the intimate nature of this work and will consist of 12 hours of direct instruction, sharing, and practice.
Prior to enrollment in the class, there will be an interview process to assure a good fit, establish personal goals, and answer any questions. Your teacher, Tiffany Niide M.D., Ph.D. has an extensive background in personal mindfulness practice, trainings and clinical applications of mindfulness. She so enjoys sharing her passion with others because mindfulness has been so transformational for her personally, as well as in working with communities, organizations, and clients. Classes are designed to be residential in nature and available to guests of the Inn, though we do love to open up spaces to community members when we can. Costs for the 3 day workshops and mini-retreats are $240 per person residential, $280pp for outside guests (includes 2 gourmet 3-course breakfasts). Costs for extended 4-day workshops are $320 per person residential and $375 for outside guests (includes 3 gourmet 3-course breakfasts).

About the Teacher:
Tiffany Niide MD, PhD was born and raised in Hawaii and is a double-board certified physician (Adult Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent psychiatry) who up until August of 2015 had been practicing in Makai Ola, an integrative health clinic in Kapaa, Hawaii. Along with sharing mindfulness retreats here at the Inn, she is currently a medical director for physician wellness at a large health care system in Virginia. She has been committed to her own personal mindfulness practice for many years. In addition to her medical training in pediatrics, psychiatry and neurology, Tiffany has years of extensive specialized training in mindfulness-based therapies and approaches to wellness. She is authorized by the University of Massachusetts to teach MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and has completed over 320 hours of intensive MBSR teacher training with their senior teachers, including a 65+ hour group training led by the founder of MBSR, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD, and Dr. Saki Santorelli, PhD. Tiffany’s classes are unique in that she is able to combine her medical knowledge of the brain and proven cognitive and behavioral strategies with the powerful practice of mindfulness to truly inspire others to lasting beneficial change. Her specific expertise in evidence-based strategies for reducing clinician burnout has helped countless individual physicians, nurses, APPs as well as departments and organizations promote positive change towards thriving in medicine.
