4. Glen Manor Vineyards

The award-winning wines at Glen Manor Vineyards include blends from 2005 onward and have received accolades as the best winery in Virginia. The winery’s location on the western flank of the Blue Ridge Mountains contributes to the incredible flavor of the wines since the deep, well-draining soils produce high-quality grapes. Tasting fees range from $4 to $12, and though there is no food to pair with your glasses, you can bring your own picnic to enjoy on the grounds. The winery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays from noon to 5 pm during April through November. December through March, the hours shift to exclusively Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays from noon to 5 pm. The friendly staff is an added bonus to the delicious wines!
